Technical Adjustments and Compliance Timelines
To comply with EU Regulation (EU) 2021/535/III, Mercedes-Benz Trucks is implementing technical and certification updates for license plate mounting areas. All vehicles registered on or after July 7, 2026, must feature an enlarged license plate flap. Depending on the model and bumper variant, these changes will roll out between April and June 2026.
